Well today is exciting for so many reasons. First of all it’s Easter Sunday which I love celebrating, secondly it’s my birthday (and I love birthdays), and finally today I launched my newsletter! Very exciting day all round. If you haven’t already subscribed, what are you waiting for?! Just click on the newsletter sign-up graphic on the right-hand-side of this page. It’s a slightly more personal way for me to keep you all posted on upcoming gigs and general happenings. You’ll get some exclusive stuff in there too!

Right I’m off to eat some birthday cake and an easter egg. I may be some time…

And no, I’m not 6 today…

What a productive day! I love it when I get into the zone and I’m just focused on getting things done. Been networking and researching all day trying to get some things organised for all you lovely people to enjoy. Recorded two videos this evening before shooting out to my beautiful friend’s birthday do, glammed up late 40’s style. Just finished devouring a packet of milano salami. Looking forward to coconut porridge before bed. Mmmmm…

What a day! I wasn’t sure my voice was awake until I started singing for my guitarist this morning. Wasn’t half bad afterall! Since then I’ve been sending emails, and making phonecalls whilst listening to classical radio. Trust me, it’s all music stuff. There’s so much to do! I hope you guys are up for a crazy 2012, I know I am, that’s why I’m so busy. (Sorry mum…).

I need to get searching for some more venues to play at in the new year. Any ideas? That should take me nicely up until dinner time. Mince pies and a meeting about more music will be happening later on, so by the end of the evening, I’ll be well stuffed!

I’m overflowing with creative ideas recently.  My lounge has become my own personal music studio. Wires, wires, wires… Gotta love it 😀 I’ve been very encouraged by family to take hold of my dreams and work towards them. It’s so easy to lose focus and get distracted or scared by things around you. You get half way and think, ‘That’s close enough.’

I was judging a talent show last weekend in Leeds, and one of the contestants stopped halfway through his song, killed all sound and went to walk off stage saying that he’d done a bad job. I told him, ‘You can’t do that. You came here with a purpose and you have to see it through. You’ve got something to give so don’t give up!’ So, i’m leading by example. I’m up late, tired from attacking the social network trying to get myself out there. I’m ready to give what I’ve got, and I’m prepared to lose much sleep chasing that dream.
